Description
The Namur Institute for Complex Systems, naXys, is active in the field of complex systems, with a broad expertise in the analysis of real-world phenomena, their modelling through mathematics and numerical simulations, and their control and optimisation. The different research directions are described on the naXys website (www.naxys.be). The Institute is recruiting one or more postdoctoral researcher(s) to contribute with interdisciplinary research projects that will reinforce the naXys research themes.
Profile
- PhD in sciences (or in a field judged equivalent by the selection committee).
- Postdoctoral experience. International mobility is an asset.
- Excellent skills in mathematical modelling, simulations, and oral/written communication (English).
Application
The application will consist of a CV, a list of publications and oral presentations, a research project (max. 3 pages) describing how the proposal fits within the research of the Institute, a list of the five most important publications related to the project, and names/contact details of three reference scientists. It should be sent to naxys@unamur.be by September 1st, 2020. At least one member of naXys must be clearly identified as the promotor of the research project and explicitly express his/her support for the project. Priority will be given to interdisciplinary projects creating a bridge between different research directions of naXys.
